Las Fiestas Las Fiestas is a family event that will showcase Latin art, music, and culinary holiday traditions. In addition to crafts activities for young children, guests will enjoy a live entertainment stage where the Para Los Niños children’s chorus will perform along with local storytellers and musicians. The afternoon will culminate with a special performance by oZoKidZ, a musical project of local favorites, Ozomatli. The event will be held at Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles. Proceeds go to support Para Los Niños programs for children, youth and families. |

Beating the Odds:15th Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration On April 29th, we held our 15th Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration. The event raised over one million dollars with proceeds benefiting the children, youth and families that we serve. The event included casino games, a performance by traditional folklorico dancers, dinner catered by El Cholo in Pasadena, dancing, strolling mariachis, a DJ set Performance by KCRW DJ Garth Trinidad, live and silent auctions, cigar lounge, an espresso bar and a live acoustic band starring actor Esai Morales. The event was located at a beautiful, historic, private home and garden at the Original Farmers Market. |

Pre-screening for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I On Thursday, November 18, 2010 Para Los Niños held a pre-screening for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I at the Arclight Theater in Hollywood. This electrifying evening started with an open bar reception, followed by a magical, in-theater performance by Para Los Niños Charter Elementary School students, and culminated with a live auction and a viewing of the much anticipated movie. The special screening raised over $100,000 for Para Los Niños and the children, youth and families. |
