Family Resource Centers
Para Los Niños’ Family Support Centers offer local families comprehensive support services designed to prevent child abuse and promote self-sufficiency. The Centers provide both emergency and long-term assistance for impoverished families living in Central and South Central Los Angeles, Pico Union, MacArthur Park, Ontario and surrounding neighborhoods. Over 4,000 families each year receive services; 414 of these receive long-term case management services.
Crisis intervention services include an emergency food pantry, clothing distribution, and access to emergency shelters. Family Resource Center staff also help impoverished families to access the full range of services available at the agency.
