Research

On the Academic Performance Index (API), the State established a target growth of 5 points for our Charter Elementary School and Charter Middle School. Our Charter Elementary School exceeded this target an actual growth of 38 points, while the Charter Middle School exceeded it by an actual growth of 123 points, by far the largest increase among similar LAUSD schools.

76% of parents asked said they have 
been able to get a job, keep a job, get a better job, 
or pursue an education because they could count on a Para Los Niños early education center to educate 
and care for their child.

Nearly 4,500 families received support 
through case management, education, crisis support 
and basic needs services.

Youth Workforce Services exceeded every contractual outcome 
set by the Los Angeles Community Development Department, resulting in a 4-star rating (the highest possible), and contributing to a perfect score in employer satisfaction.

 ...100% of preschoolers transitioned into elementary school assessed as ready to succeed in Kindergarten.

 ...Elementary school students gained 26 percentage points in math proficiency on 2009 CST; Middle school students earned 23 percentage points gain in math proficiency on 2009 CST.

 ...81% of students receiving tutoring during our afterschool program improved their performance by a full letter grade or more.

 ...100% of high school seniors receiving our afterschool services graduated from high school and were admitted to – and are currently enrolled in -- post-secondary institutions.

 ...91% of families enrolled in the Partnership For Families program showed improvement in one or more family functioning areas.
