Assistant Principal, Gratts Primary Center
Celeste Ruano has been in education for over 14 years. Ms. Ruano started her career in education as a teacher’s assistant for LAUSD while attending California State University, Los Angeles. After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Child Development, she went on to teach middle school for El Rancho Unified School District. She worked as a middle school teacher for many years, supporting students in the areas of science, math, and leadership.
Ms. Ruano began her career with Para Los Niños as a fifth-grade teacher. During this time she helped develop the fifth-grade science curriculum and was a mentor to new teachers. She continued her education and obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from California State University, Northridge.
Currently, Ms. Ruano helps to support and lead teachers in her new role as the Assistant Principal at the Gratts Primary Center.
