Letter from Principal Lorena Rodriguez

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It’s important for students to continue to learn, practice and master skills, and build study habits throughout the year, and especially during any time they are away from school. Each teacher has also provided specific recommendations for each class. Your child was given a packet with a cover sheet that provides their passwords to specific websites that students already have worked on and are grade level appropriate. If your child works on these each day, you will help ensure that they maintain and continue to learn skills.

Click here for a list of the resources students will be using for learning. All the resources are mobile-friendly and free, so they can be accessed through your web browser (Safari or Google Chrome) or as a free app with no in-app purchases. Please monitor their use, support them in logging in, help them when they are stuck, and direct them to different activities that are appropriately challenging.

Check back frequently as we will post updates and other resources as they become available. We are recommending following this structure for learning:

  • 1-2 hour of online learning (20-40 minutes per app, 2-3 apps each day)
  • 30 minutes of reading
  • 20 minutes to work on their homework packet
  • 30 minutes to 1 hour of physical activity

Sincerely,

Lorena Rodriguez
