Director of Community Resilience
Natalia Garcia is the Director of Innovations 2, a trauma-informed initiative that addresses and reduces the impact of trauma among residents and school communities in Los Angeles County District 1.
As the Director of Innovations 2, Natalia is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of two strategies aimed at creating trauma resilient communities and learning environments. Previously, Natalia worked as a Program Coordinator at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, where she assisted in developing training curriculum and coordinating activities for fellows in the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) training program. She also worked as a Research Assistant in a perinatal engagement project at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center that provides specialty psychiatric care to perinatal women with severe, persistent mental illness.
Natalia Garcia earned her MPH from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and her BA in History from UCLA.
