Los Angeles, CA – Para Los Niños (PLN) is proud to announce it has been selected as a 2019 California Nonprofit of the Year by Assemblymember Reginald Jones-Sawyer for the impactful work taking place in the 59th Assembly District!
Para Los Niños President and Chief Executive Officer, Drew Furedi and Director of Family Services, Jimmy Urizar will travel to Sacramento this week to join nearly one hundred other nonprofit leaders being honored by their state senators and assemblymembers during a celebration luncheon as part of California Nonprofits Day on June 5th.
“It is the daily partnership of our over 400 staff with parents and the high-quality education we provide our children and youth that allow us to have the profound, positive impact on thousands of Angelinos each year,” said Furedi of the accolade. “We are honored and thrilled for this recognition from Assemblymember Jones-Sawyer and the California Association of Nonprofits.”
Presenting the award was the California Association of Nonprofits, who’s CEO Jan Masaoka shared this message, “Nonprofits are often hidden in plain sight, California Nonprofits Day is an opportunity for our elected officials to celebrate the good work they see nonprofits doing in their districts, and for everyone to appreciate the collective impact of nonprofits in our communities.”
